Valley of the Falls Community Center, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) charitable not-for-profit community organization that owns and operates the Gail D. Cox Community Center at Big Falls Lodge.  We offer a schedule of suggested donations for the use and care of the facilities.   To reserve Big Falls Lodge, simply click Reserve Now beneath the type of function you are hosting. Our coordinator will respond to answer any questions you may have and facilitate your reservation.  If you would prefer to speak with someone, please call Michelle Macri at 909.222.9067.

Full Bridal Package

For brides and grooms who would like to have their ceremony and reception in one beautiful mountain location. Our full bridal package includes exclusive use of Big Falls Lodge the day before your wedding so that you may take your time creating the perfect setting for your special day.  Choose from our garden gazebo or rustic indoor lodge with fireplace for your ceremony and enjoy the privacy of our bride's room to share the day with your attendants. You may also use our dishware for your catering.  Our coordinator will be happy to recommend places for you and your guests to stay in the mountains and can suggest a local DJ*, photographer*, hairstylist*, and bartender*.

*These services and fees are not included.

Partial Package

For wedding parties that require only one day to host either their ceremony or reception and minimum time to decorate and set up. This package includes the use of Big Falls Lodge for a full ten hour day. Our coordinator will be happy to recommend additional services, such as a DJ,  photographer, bartender,  hairstylist and local accommodations

On the Day

If you would like to celebrate your union in our lovely mountain landscape,  but your plans for your reception are elsewhere, we offer exceptional flexibility with an affordable hourly rate and both garden and rustic lodge settings that make for a memorable and romantic occasion.

Family Gatherings

Life offers so many opportunities to celebrate and make memories with our loved ones. Big Falls Lodge is an ideal place for family reunions, friend reunions, christenings, bridal and baby showers, engagement parties, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries, and even celebrations of life for the dearly departed. 

Big Falls Lodge is available to residents of Mountain Home Village, Forest Falls and Angelus Oaks for memorials at no cost.

Holidays

Our four-seasons location in the San Bernardino Mountains makes Big Falls Lodge a uniquely beautiful venue for holiday events. Host an Easter Egg hunt among pink Spring blossoms and daffodils, a Fourth of July Americana fest, a Fall feast as the leaves turn russet and gold, or a winter holiday party by the fire with snow falling outside the picture windows.

Meetings

Getting out of the office and spending a day in the mountains for your business meetings could be just what your office needs. Or if you need a place to hold team-building and training classes, Big Falls Lodge can accommodate most kinds of meetings and activities. We offer a sound system and microphones and a large flat screen monitor for presentations. We can also provide tables if you'd like to have lunch catered.

  • Where is Big Falls Lodge?
    Big Falls Lodge is in Forest Falls, California in the San Bernardino National Forest. From Redlands, California, follow Lugonia Avenue through the town of Mentone where it becomes State Highway 38. Take the right turn after Mountain Home Village to Forest Falls and follow Valley of the Falls Drive 3.6 miles to 41303 Valley of the Falls Drive on the right side of the road.
  • How Do I Reserve a Date for an Event at Big Falls Lodge?
    Contact our events coordinator Michelle Macri or send her an email at events@vfcci.org to discuss your needs and date. Download our facilities use application from the top of this page and complete it. A $75.00 non-refundable donation as a deposit is required to reserve a date for your exclusive use. You may pay the $75.00 by cash, check, or PayPal. To pay via PayPal, a payment link is provided on this page. When payment is received, we will block your date out on our calendar. Mail your facilities use application with the signed and initialed use agreement to Valley of the Falls Community Center, Inc. P.O. Box 41, Forest Falls, California 92339 or bring it with you when you come to tour our venue.
  • Do You Require a Deposit?
    Yes, we do require a $75.00 non-refundable donation to hold a reservation. Other deposits may apply depending upon use. Please download our facilities contract at the top of the page for details about how to reserve.
  • How Many People Does Big Falls Lodge Accomodate?
    The maximum occupancy limit of Big Falls Lodge is 100 individuals seated at tables. Please keep this in mind when planning your event. We cannot accommodate groups that exceed this limit.
  • How Many Cars Can Park There?
    Big Falls Lodge can accommodate approximately 30 cars between two parking areas. Please note that if your event requires both indoor and outdoor space, this will reduce the number of available parking spaces.
  • Does My Event Have to End by a Specific Time?
    Yes, events at Big Falls Lodge must end by 10 P.M. as it is located in a residential area and we need to be good neighbors.
  • Does Big Falls Lodge Have Rooms for People to Stay In?
    Big Falls Lodge does not have rooms for people to stay in, however, we do have a list of nightly vacation rentals and airbnbs that we would be happy to give you if you would like to make arrangements to stay overnight in Forest Falls.

There's just no other way to say it, our residents love to party and have fun. So we keep everyone busy with our wildly popular annual fundraising events for kids, families, and adults.   

Earth Day/Canyon Clean-Up
